Illinois is fully recreational for adults 21+ with valid government photo ID. Residents can purchase up to 30g of flower per visit; out-of-state visitors are capped at 15g.
The medical program continues to operate alongside recreational sales. Registered patients use separate registers (and often separate shops) with priority access, lower taxes, and higher possession limits. A medical card is not required for recreational purchase.
